THE RED ROOM

CRAFT COCKTAIL SANCTUARY

Creative direction and brand activations developed inside an established hospitality ecosystem. Rather than a rebrand, we unlocked narrative altitude — orchestrating collaborations with international distillers (Fernet-Branca, iichiko, Nosotros, Bar Agricole), crafting ephemeral menu universes from 8-bit arcade to Scandinavian holiday warmth, and documenting Fresno's premier cocktail sanctuary in 35mm fidelity.

CREATIVE DIRECTION INSIDE AN ESTABLISHED BRAND

01

Not a Rebrand — An Elevation

The Red Room already had a devoted clientele and a recognized wordmark. Our role wasn't to redesign what worked — it was to provide high-altitude creative direction: consistent visual storytelling, 35mm documentary atmosphere, and elevating bar ephemera into collectible graphic artifacts.

02

Spirits Brand Partnership Magnetism

Top-tier distillers rarely co-brand with local venues unless the creative matches their international standards. We crafted custom visual identities for each collaboration — Japanese Bauhaus for iichiko, surrealist woodcuts for Fernet-Branca — cementing The Red Room as a destination for premier distillers.

03

Eclectic Ephemeral Menu Worlds

Cocktail menus in world-class bars are tactile cultural objects. We treated each seasonal rollout as its own universe: 8-bit NES for the Nostalgia Menu, mid-century Scandinavian warmth for Winter Holiday, constructivist cubism for Industry Night with Bar Agricole.

ATMOSPHERIC PALETTE & TYPOGRAPHY HIERARCHY

The visual identity operates at the intersection of nocturnal intimacy and bold graphic modernism. Deep crimson ambient light meets warm back-bar incandescent amber and tactile off-white paper textures, framed by geometric Art Deco typography.

THE COLLABORATION VAULT

When global spirits brands collaborate with The Red Room, we build custom visual universes that celebrate their unique brand equity while maintaining The Red Room's nocturnal sophistication.

TACTILE ARTIFACTS & SEASONAL COVERS

Craft cocktail culture thrives on surprise. We designed limited-run seasonal menu covers and holiday artifacts that transformed each visit into an unexpected cultural encounter.

The 8-Bit "Nostalgia Menu" Cover

A pixel-perfect love letter to classic 8-bit platformers. The cover reimagines mixology through Nintendo tropes: an 8-bit mixologist jumping on pipe platforms, citrus garnishes rendered as angry Goombas, cocktail shaker power-ups, and mystery drink question-blocks.
